A Moving Experience Dubai Families Deserve
We started eDubai Movers because moving in the UAE kept going wrong for people in the same avoidable ways — quotes that doubled once the truck arrived, crews assembled the morning of the job from whoever was available, and a general sense that the customer was on their own once the invoice came.
"That's not the moving experience Dubai's families and businesses deserve. So we built something different."

Who Is eDubai Movers?
eDubai Movers is a fully licensed Dubai-based moving and relocation company serving residents, families, and businesses across all emirate communities. The company completes over 8,000 moves annually — from studio apartment relocations in Deira to 6-bedroom villa moves on Palm Jumeirah fronds.
The 3 operational principles that define every job:
Dubai's population includes over 85% expatriate residents managing lease handovers, DEWA connections, school transitions, and visa renewals alongside property moves. eDubai Movers structures its service model around this reality.
How eDubai Movers Came to Be — and Where We're Headed
Every company has a founding story. Ours starts with a frustration that too many people in Dubai had already lived through.
Starting With One Question
A family in Jumeirah asked a simple question: why does every moving quote in Dubai look reasonable until moving day? That question became the founding principle of eDubai Movers — a commitment to fixed written pricing that doesn't shift once a crew shows up. The first year was small: a handful of apartment movess, one small office relocation, and a 4-bedroom villa job in The Springs that took two full days and confirmed everything we believed about what villa moving actually requires.
Going All-In on Villa Moving
Two years in, it became obvious that villa moves were a category most Dubai movers weren't genuinely equipped for. The furniture is larger, the community access requirements are more complex, the permit processes for Emaar and Nakheel developments take advance planning, and the stakes are higher when someone's entire family home is involved. We invested specifically in villa moving — larger trucks, trained crews with specific dismantling protocols, an operations team that understood community management processes across all of Dubai's major villa developments. Word spread quickly among the expat community.
Expanding Across the UAE
What started as a Dubai-focused operation grew naturally as customers asked us to follow them to Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, ras al khaimah, and Fujairah. Each emirate came with its own access requirements, permit systems, and logistical considerations — Tawtheeq in Abu Dhabi, FEWA utilities in fujairah, the Hajar Mountain route to the east coast. We mapped every community, studied every process, and expanded our coverage without reducing what we'd built in Dubai. By 2019 we were operating across all seven emirates.
Office Moving Becomes a Serious Focus
During a period when businesses across Dubai were relocating, rightsizing, and rethinking their office footprints, demand for corporate relocation services grew significantly. We developed a dedicated office moving protocol — weekend and after-hours scheduling to minimise business disruption, IT equipment handling procedures, document security protocols, and project management for multi-floor moves. Our first large-scale office job was a 12-floor relocation in Business Bay. It ran over two weekends. The client was operational on Monday morning.
Today — and What Comes Next
Today, eDubai Movers handles everything from single-bedroom apartment moves to multi-villa international relocation projects, with teams operating across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and the wider UAE. More than 8,000 completed moves. A Google rating that stays above 4.9 because the work stays consistent. The same founding principle — price agreed before the job, price paid after it — still drives every booking. Where we're heading: deeper investment in international relocation services, expanded climate-controlled storage capacity, and continued refinement of the villa-moving protocols that have been our core strength since 2017.
How Does eDubai Movers Handle Dubai Community Move Permits?
This is worth spending a moment on because it's genuinely the part of a Dubai villa move that goes wrong most often when people don't know the process — and the part where eDubai Movers takes work completely off your plate. Dubai's major villa developers each run their own access management system:
Uses the community.emaar.ae portal. Requires active Ejari certificate, landlord NOC, Emirates ID, and moving company insurance (min AED 1M coverage). Approval takes 2–3 business days. Missing documents or unlinked Ejari results in automatic rejection.
Uses the Nakheel portal. Truck plate numbers and driver IDs must be registered 24 hours prior. Frond access on Palm Jumeirah has specific vehicle size restrictions which we confirm during your survey.
Uses the DAMAC Living app with mandatory UAE PASS authentication. A QR code is generated upon approval and shared with our driver for gate scanning on moving day.
Outstanding service charges on the property block the permit application automatically. We recommend verifying this with your landlord before the permit deadline.
Most require 24–48 hours advance notification with truck details and credentials. No portal required; we handle direct communication with compound management.
- Trade licence copy
- Insurance certificate
- Truck registration details
- Driver credentials
- Ejari certificate
- Landlord NOC
- Emirates ID for portal submission
We advise you on the exact checklist for your specific community the moment the booking is confirmed. The applications go in the same day you confirm. Not the week before the move.
What We're Here to Do
One Consistent Standard
To give Dubai's families, expat communities, and businesses a moving experience built on a single standard: what we say before the job is what happens during it and what appears on the invoice after it.
"The Recommended Choice
To be the UAE moving company that people recommend to friends without hesitation — not because of a marketing campaign, but because something went right on moving day and it kept going right for every move that followed.
"What We Actually Believe In — and How You'll See It
Values are easy to write and hard to demonstrate. Here's how each of ours shows up in a real move.
A Quote Is a Promise
When we issue a written moving quote, we're making a commitment — not an estimate subject to revision when the crew arrives. Packing materials are included in full-pack quotes, furniture dismantling is not charged as a separate add-on, and community access coordination costs are factored in upfront. The number in your booking confirmation is the number on your invoice. That's not a marketing line; it's a contractual position.
Every Home Deserves Serious Handling
There's no such thing as a "small" move to the person doing it. A single-bedroom apartment relocation might represent someone's first home in Dubai, and a 6-bedroom villa move might be the family's fourth — both get the same level of planning, the same quality of packing materials, and the same post-move walkthrough before the crew departs. We don't have a tiered service that gives better care to bigger jobs.
Continuity Over Convenience
Hiring day labourers for moving day costs less operationally. We don't do it. The same trained team assigned to your job handles every stage — packing, loading, transport, and reassembly at the destination. Your hardware bags stay with the furniture pieces they came from, your carton labels match the room plan confirmed on survey day, and the person doing your walkthrough at the end knows what every box contains.
Documentation Prevents Problems
Every moving job generates a detailed inventory. Every hardware bag is labeled. Every carton gets a specific description — not "kitchen items, 1 box" but "kitchen — fragile glassware, packed upright." This makes unpacking faster, protects against loss or damage disputes, and for international moves prevents customs inspection delays caused by vague descriptions. Good documentation isn't bureaucratic overhead — it's what stops a problem from becoming a crisis.
UAE-Specific Knowledge Is Non-Negotiable
Moving in the UAE is not the same as moving anywhere else. Community permit systems, Ejari and Tawtheeq timelines, DEWA closure processes, Friday prayer time restrictions, Emaar and Nakheel portal requirements, the different utility authorities across emirates — every one of these can derail a move if the company handling it doesn't know the process cold. We invest continuously in keeping this knowledge current. It's not interesting detail — it's the operational foundation of every job we do.
Eight Years of Moves, By the Numbers
Every number here reflects completed work — not marketing projections. The 8,000+ moves represent families who trusted us with their homes, businesses that needed their offices moved without disruption, and expats who were navigating a new country and needed a company they could rely on. We're proud of all of them.
Licensed, Insured, and Accountable
In the UAE, the moving industry is unregulated on pricing. But on the legal side, there are non-negotiable requirements — and then there are the additional standards that separate companies who take compliance seriously from companies who don't.
Dubai DED Trade Licence
Required for all legal business operations in Dubai. Our licence number is available on request. If a mover can't provide a DED trade licence, they cannot legally operate — and you have no recourse if something goes wrong.
Active & CurrentGoods-in-Transit Insurance
All-risk coverage active from the moment packing begins to the moment the final item is placed at the destination. Applied to every job, domestic and international. Extended coverage for high-value items available as an add-on.
Every MovePublic Liability Insurance
Minimum AED 1,000,000 coverage required by most Dubai community management companies (Emaar, Nakheel, DAMAC) before a moving permit is issued. We maintain this coverage continuously, not just when requested.
AED 1M+ CoverageInternational Freight Network
For international moves, we work exclusively with registered freight forwarders holding Federal Customs Authority compliance. Our Jebel Ali Port coordination partner maintains FIDI certification.
FIDI PartnerISPM-15 Compliant Export Packing Materials
For international shipments, timber crating uses heat-treated wood meeting International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15 — the global standard required by Australian biosecurity, US agricultural authorities, and most European customs bodies. Non-compliant wood can result in container rejection at the destination port.
Customs CompliantWhy This Matters
These aren't just credentials on a wall — they're the specific documents that either protect you if something goes wrong or get your container released at a foreign port without inspection delays. Most moving companies in Dubai hold a trade licence and some level of insurance. What separates companies is whether coverage is current, whether it applies to your specific job type, and whether the documentation standards used during packing are compatible with destination-country customs requirements. We keep all of this current.
